Gerace Research Centre Fourth Joint Symposium
Since 1982, the Gerace Research Centre has hosted numerous conferences and symposiums. Such conferences provide a venue for the sharing of new knowledge pertaining to ongoing research both on San Salvador and throughout the rest of the Bahamas region. Conferences in Archaeology, Biology, Botany, Geology, and Natural History have all been held at the GRC and have attracted both researchers and professors working in the Bahamas and throughout the world.
The conferences had taken place every year, switching to every other year in 2015 and combining both the Geology and Natural History sections. After the unfortunate delay of the regularly scheduled 2021 conference due to covid-19 as well as the long recovery back to (semi-) normal, we greatly look forward to again hosting the Gerace Research Centre Conference in the summer of 2023!
The upcoming Fourth Joint Conference of the Gerace Research Centre will be open to all subject matter and focusing specifically on Education and Field Science teaching methods in the Bahamas. For example, you could present about a unique exercise that your students complete as part of their field experience at the GRC. Additionally, the conference presentations will be available both in-person and online. This adjustment means even if travel is not feasible for you, you can still present and participate at the conference! Please consider submitting and sharing your research with your colleagues!
